4th Annual Rock Around The Park!

This November we attended the 4th Annual Rock Around The Park- Rockabilly Day at Disneyland!

I love Disneyland almost as much as I love rockabilly so you know this event is right up my alley.

I thought it was going to be cold, so I wore jeans, a sweater, and a red and white polka dot Mini Mouse shirt.  But, as California often does, it stared heating up mid day and I had wished I wore the skirt I really wanted to wear. In retrospect, I don't like this outfit much. Maybe this striped sweater is not flattering on me.

The Christmas decorations were already up!

We went on a few rides, had lunch, then met up with the Rock Around the Park Group for a group photo!

Then we all headed to the Jungle Cruise. Rockabillies as far as the eye can see!

I thought these two girls were the cutest ever!

After a short wait we were on The Jungle Cruise boat ride!

Afterward we went to the Tiki Room and Zack got a pineapple drink!

I opted for a Mickey shaped cake pop!

I'm a happy camper!

Next we went to see Santa!

Look at Ms. Claus' cookie spread!

Cute tree, train, and rocking horse.

Zack and I with Santa Claus!

Then we went to visit the reindeer!

He stuck is tong out at me!

After that we went to see Billy Hill and the Hillbillies!

They put the billy in rockabilly!

After an entertaining show (to say the least!) we went to Disney's California Adventure Park!

They are remodeling the park to be art deco- so cool!

We went to go see the World of Color show. There is nothing like it on earth!

The pictures can't do it justice. It's simply amazing! They use water, color, music and video projection to make the show. Maybe you can find clips on YouTube!

Then we went back into Disneyland for the fireworks and snow on Mainstreet!

What a beautiful start to the holiday season!

Thanks to the organizers for putting on Rock Around The Park. We always enjoy ourselves immensely!

Zack-A-Billy's Birthday

This is just a quick post to talk about what we did for Zack's birthday in November.

I made him a cake quickly with left over fondant I had. The top layer is a 45 that says Zack-A-Billy.

Then we went to Weber's Rockabilly Friday Night where Zack was playing with his band Chris Sprague and His 18 Wheelers. AMber Foxx was also opening up for them.

Leslie Harkenrider and Sandra Sprague.

The birthday boy!

Sandra and Bobby.

Me! It was officially getting cold by this point, so I pulled out my favorite vintage pink coat.

The amazingly talented and beautiful Amber Foxx! Look at that amazing figure!

Pretty girls dancing, not a bad view!

The Amber Foxx

The birthday boy and I! I wore a brown fleck gabardine dress.

Chris Sugarballs Sprague and His 18 Wheelers!

Chris- Mr. Rockstar!

Then the band sang Happy Birthday to Zack, so I lit the candles and brought the cake to the stage.

Make a wish!

I think he is so cute!

I love their matching red shirts!

I hope Zack had a great birthday. I had a great time at least!

XOXO
